From early dialogue to nationwide deployment
This timeline outlines the phased development of the Intelligent Classroom initiative in Cameroon — from early partnership formation to nationwide deployment.
Inauguration of the Intelligent Classroom – Yaoundé
The Intelligent Classroom was officially inaugurated in Yaoundé — a modular, self-sustained learning environment with 60 solar panels, integrated water/sanitation, offline local network, NDX interactive panels, and MicroCloud content distribution. Designed for 40–60 students and bridging the digital divide for underserved areas.

Strategic Meeting with the Prime Minister
A strategic meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute to align the Intelligent Classroom initiative with Cameroon's national priorities for education modernization.

National Workshop with Minister & Inspectors
A high-level workshop with H.E. Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga, national inspectors, and education leaders — focused on maximizing pedagogical use of Intelligent Classrooms, identifying system challenges, and preparing the national ecosystem for scalable digital learning.

Deployment of 252 Intelligent Classrooms
Nationwide rollout of NDX panels and MicroCloud units. Each school receives training, monitoring, and coaching support.
Teacher Training Acceleration (Phase 2)
Master trainers coordinate regional sessions to prepare teachers for interactive teaching, MicroCloud integration, and intelligent classroom lesson design.
Commonwealth Delegation Visit
Master Trainer Workshop with 25 trainers, National Conference chaired by Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga, classroom observations with students using NDX panels, delegation meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, and large-scale teacher training (50+ teachers certified).

Intelligent Classroom Pilot Conception
Joint planning begins for the deployment of 252 intelligent classrooms. Frameworks are developed covering training, evaluation, sustainability, and national scalability.

Content Ecosystem Development
MicroCloud-based content distribution is integrated, enabling schools to access curriculum-aligned digital resources offline — particularly in low-connectivity regions.
Distance Learning Centre (DLC) Upgrade
The Distance Learning Centre in Yaoundé is upgraded with interactive displays and recording infrastructure. Educators begin producing thousands of curriculum-aligned video lessons for national distribution.

Ministerial Visit to NDX Regional Office – Dubai
H.E. Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga visited the NDX Regional Office in Dubai to explore solutions supporting the digital transformation of Cameroon's education system. The visit marked the first formal step toward launching the Intelligent Classroom initiative.

Foundation & Partnership Formation
NDX initiates strategic dialogue with the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) to explore opportunities for strengthening Cameroon's digital education ecosystem. Early discussions focus on classroom digitization, content access, and teacher capacity building.
